American Dance Institute also offers teen modern dance classes, and Adult Modern.

Modern Dance Classes

  • Children's Modern Dance Classes: Each dance class starts with a thorough warm-up to build strength and stimulate core connections and body awareness.
  • The warm up is followed by phrase work focusing on directional shifts, weight changes, rhythm, and Laban Fundamentals (i.e. time, space, effort, etc.). Class finishes with some fun choreography to keep their minds and body in tip-top shape.
  • Your child will become more self-confident in their ability to create and more comfortable expressing ideas, a key leadership skill.
  • They'll experience an overall sense of fluidity, strength, and confidence in their everyday movement.

"

The teacher is the determinant factor...

"Just as in the best public and private schools, the quality of the teacher in a class room and dance studio determines the quality of the student's class experience. American Dance Institute's teachers are the best. I know because I work very hard to find, mentor and retain them."
