Moana-Themed Pre-Ballet for ages 5-7
Each camp will begin with a Pre-Ballet class where children will learn elementary ballet positions, basic dance steps, and explore movement concepts such as size, levels, speed, relationships, pathways, shapes and more.
Using the soundtrack and characters from the Moana film, we will focus on musicality, phrasing and terminology and build grace, poise, strength and flexibility while dancing through the storyline of Disney’s film.
On the last day of camp, parents are invited for the last half hour for a presentation showing what the children have learned.
Attire for girls is leotard, ballet slippers and bare legs, assuming the weather will be warm. If it is not or if students prefer, tights may be worn. Boys wear shorts or black tights, T-shirt and ballet slippers. Feel free to check our swap box to see if there are any ballet slippers that fit.
