Mary Poppins Themed Creative Dance
Each camp will begin with a Creative Dance warm up to build body awareness, strength, flexibility, and coordination, followed by loco-motor work across the floor.
Using the soundtrack, story line and from the ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ film, students will explore movement concepts such as size, level, speed, relationships, pathways, shapes and more.
The camp will work to build grace, poise, strength and flexibility while dancing through story line of this joyful Disney sequel. The last day of camp, parents are invited for the last half hour for a 30 minute presentation showing what the children have learned.
Attire for girls is leotard, bare feet and bare legs, assuming the weather will be warm. In the off chance it is not or if students prefer, footless tights may be worn. For boys, dance shorts or casual loose fitting shorts and t-shirt, bare feet.
