Monica Kerr

Originally from Orange County California, Monica has been training extensively in Modern, Jazz, Ballet and Tap since she was three years old. 

Her professional career began with pre-professional modern company, Leverage Dance where she was mentored by artistic director Tawny Chapman at the age of sixteen. 

Monica is a recent graduate from Cornish College of the Arts where she earned her BFA  in dance and a focus in community dance. 

In her time at Cornish, she trained with incredible educators such as Deborah Wolfe, Lodi McClellan, Laura Ann Smyth, and Wade Madsen.

Over the course of her career she has performed in works choreographed by Jennifer Backhaus, Michelle Miller, Danielle Agami, and Alia Swersky, among others .

Monica has been working professionally as a movement artist based in Seattle for several years. She is passionate about making dance accessible, and strives to create a safe, fun, and inclusive educational environment in her classroom.
